Who's got the power?

Did you ever wonder who really has power in this country? Well wonder no more. It's the Insurance industry. Consider this; they are the only industry that has managed to convince governments to mandate that you buy their product, and mostly at their price.

You cannot drive a car without insurance, in some states (including Pennsylvania - mine) you cannot practice Medicine without malpractice insurance (that's right, if you don't pay them, you can't earn a living), you cannot own a business without paying worker's compensation insurance premiums, and the other examples abound. They seem to have more power than big oil, and THAT's saying something!

What's even more insidious, though, is that they've kept below everyone's radar so that few people realize who and what they are.
