BANK ROBBERY; THE NEW ROUTE TO HEALTH CARE

James Verone walked into a bank and handed the teller a note demanding “only” $1. He was neither a criminal nor insane, merely unemployed and broke with multiple medical problems. It was the only way he could think of to get the care he needed without health insurance.

The new health care laws wouldn’t help him until 2014 and, even then, only pay part of his costs. The GOP plan would “pay” for his health care with tax incentives; which wouldn’t help him (or anyone else I his situation) much if he doesn’t make any money and, therefore, doesn’t pay taxes.

Without a change in our attitude and, hopefully, a well thought out single payer system, our federal prison system may become the health care centers of last resort for WE THE PEOPLE!
